After an analysis of the approaches, requirements and demands of the committee, supported by three environmental experts, legal advisors and the presence of 20 bases of community in the Callejon de Huaylas important agreements were arrived at after 8 hours of work.
The main agreements are:
1.-To form a specialized technical team to develop the supporting documentation to declare Conococha Lake as a nature reserve and therefore a protected zone in the Congress. 2.-Search
legal mechanisms through state channels to compensate the family of the commoner, Vergara Cadillo Muñante killed in the scuffle with the police force.
3.-Make available to the National Directorate of National Police Officer Col. Peru. Demetrio Perez Cueva Vargas PNP to be responsible for the repression against the farmers of Cátac and death of one of its members.
4.-Declaring a truce in the investigations and complaints against students and community members that participated in the protests and mobilization in defense of water resources during the days of indefinite strike.
5.-The technical team will present the report and documents for the inviolability of Lake Conococha in 45 days from the date (December 20, 2010), when it will be the second meeting of the board dialog in the capital of the Republic, to be determined place and time.
