Review: ESTHER RODRIGUEZ CABRALES (http : / / diariodeesther.blogspot.com / )
House and disenchantment of a man without grace is the title of the first novel that my friend Andres Portillo brought to my house to once again delight his fictional world that I admire. This is a novel, easily digested, despite having been infected by certain expressions simulated sound I do not know if it's because the main character Carmelo exhibits unbearable poignancy dyes that confuse the reader. Paula, a twenty-first century Lolita, quite cheeky and disrespectful, it helps that the story will be complicated. The story conveys tension by not providing the reader with a resolution of the character, who lives a story inevitably doomed to collapse without anyone to help except himself. It was interesting to find a nod of the writer during the course of the novel, as the appearance of his alter ego as a book on a nightstand. The shadow of loneliness which is so hard to escape with Carmelo, seems to be enveloping, little by little, his life.
I think it is worth noting the draft Castaway Island , a tiny publishing house headed by Jose Antonio Abella and located in Segovia, which sells their titles via the Internet only. Apart from trying new authors and promote young talent in the world of literature, one of its main objectives is to work in literacy projects in Latin America, allocating 25% of its editorial benefit for this purpose.
